Logframer

Get Logframer up and running on your Windows-powered machine and you can use the application to create, edit, import, and export logical frameworks. You’ll be able to do so for free because this is a free application. And more to the point, it is a free project management tool that is ideally suited for NGO and humanitarian projects.

Download a small executable, run it, click Install when prompted, and you will very quickly get Logframer up and running on your Windows-powered machine. Please note that for Logframer to work, you need .NET framework 4.0 or higher on your Windows-powered machine. So to recap, if you have a Windows PC with .NET Framework, you will very easily get Logframer up and running on it.

From the Settings menu you can choose which type of scheme will be presented on the application’s interface; there are 11 different schemes to choose from. The Settings menu also allows you to play with the text formatting for the current logframe. And last but not least, it also allows you to change the default fonts, colors, currency, and number of files in the Recent Files list.

Logframer is a free project management application that relies on the logical framework method. From the aforementioned interface you can create new logframes, load logframes and edit them, import logframes from Excel files, and export logframes to Excel or Word. Lots of very useful functionality is put at your disposal for the great price of free.

Logframer works as advertised, it comes with a user friendly and customizable interface, and it is offered for free. I don’t see what’s not to like about this application.
